Quel lago ,se non erro, ha ispirato Mann,Kafka e altri perchè ha un tal fascino …C’è tanto amore per la natura e verso l’uomo in Goethe,uomo che si trova spesso davanti alla scelta tra il male e il bene e deve trovare nella ragione ma non solo gli strumenti per capire che cosa è male e per scegliere.Ho visitato la sua casa di città e quella di campagna e sono eguali, piene di fiori ,di rampicanti ,di finestre e di libri.

Miei cari ,ho scritto “lago” perchè lui spesso usava tal termine nel descrivere il mare e credo si riferisse alla costiera amalfitana ,comunque a quei colori che lo avevano affascinato ,così lontani dalle brume tedesche.Tinti
Senza nessun dubbio! si riferifa sicuramente alla costiera Sorrentina-amalfitana datesi che ha soggiornato in quiei luoghi
In verità si riferiva al Lago di Garda, parte iniziale del suo “Viaggio in Italia”.

se volete saperlo Goethe si riferiva espressamente alla bellissima natura della Sicilia.La poesia infatti parla della terra in cui “fioriscono i limoni”….nel periodo in cui ha scritto la poesia non solo era sicuramente in Sicilia ma per di più era in visita all’orto botanico di Palermo che in quel periodo ,dato il clima,era l’unico posto in cui poteva trovare i limoni in fiore….Stella

Sicuramente era… la costiera Amalfitana, oppure la Sicilia, oppure la Calabria, oppure il lago di Garda…oppure… di certo Goerthe parla dell’Italia!!! L’Italia è bella e fa innamorare,, basta avere sensibilità al bello!
qualcuno ha ,con ragione,avanzato l’ipotesi che il poeta fosse stato ispirato dalla vista dei numerosi agrumeti che,non appena lasciata roma ,egli aveva incontrato ,attraversando la piana di Fondi a circa 100 km da roma,percorrendo la strada Appia,diretto al sud. Si trattava della qualità di arance cosiddette “bionde” particolarmente grandi di dimensioni e di un vistoso colore giallo dorato simile all’oro. risalendo la penisola dal sud,questi erano gli ultimi luoghi,per latitudine,che potevano permettere tali tipi di coltivazioni,necessitando essi di unclima mite e soleggiato.si pùò intuire pertanto la sorpresa di Goethe alla vista di queste magnifiche piante,per lui sconosciute.
